In 2021, Love Stanislaus County teamed up with DeHart, Plumbing, Heating & Air to recognize the above and beyond contributions of residents of Stanislaus County that are rooted in giving, loving and making a difference.
Nominees, finalists and winners are recognized in June at the Heart 2 Heart Awards Ceremony each year.
All finalists receive a letter of acknowledgement and a certificate.
Finalists are recognized on Love Stanislaus County’s social media and website.
The winners of each award are announced at the Heart 2 Heart Awards Ceremony and receive the
Heart 2 Heart trophy for the category they are nominated for.
City of the year
City of the Year recipient is a city within Stanislaus County that have done the following:
Carried out the vision, mission, and values of Love Stanislaus County
Hosted a volunteer day that included multiple sectors of the community
Scheduled and held committee meetings regularly and throughout the year
Was respectful and collaborative with other cities
Attended LSC Charter Monthly Meetings on a regular basis
Followed all parts of the LSC Charter
Chair responded timely to emails and requests timely with Love Stanislaus County
Kept webpages active and up to date
Had an active social media presence and tagged LSC in posts
Promoted their city wide serve day all throughout their city
Promoted and shared year round activities with not just their city but with all cities throughout Stanislaus County
Documented (video & pictures) and shared with LSC city wide serve day as well as activities throughout the year
Was active in the community hosting or co-hosting activities outside the city wide volunteer day (new cities excluded)
Ensured that work within their city was shared and connected to Love Stanislaus County
Participated in and promoted in LSC Promotional Tour

Love Stanislaus County is home to a 15 person Community Advisory Committee that helps provide valuable insight and direction for the organization. The Committee Member of the Year award is given to a member of the group who goes above and beyond the minimum requirements for the committee. This person is a constant ambassador or the organization.

In January of 2021, the efforts of our Neighbors Program during the COVID-19 pandemic were recognized by the Modesto Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber awarded Love Stanislaus County with the COVID-19 Resiliency Award.
